The Most Complete, Open, and Integrated x86 Systems

June 28, 2010—Today Oracle is announcing a complete refresh of its Sun Fire x86 cluster systems. Oracle's new Sun x86 systems are designed to run demanding Oracle and non-Oracle business applications in integrated and optimized x86 clusters. Only Oracle can offer tightly integrated x86 clustered systems across blade systems, rack servers, storage, networking, operating systems, middleware, business applications and enterprise management. Oracle uses best-of-breed components to greatly simplify the deployment, management, and support of your IT infrastructure and deliver unmatched performance and scalability—from applications to disk.

Based on the Intel Xeon 5600 and Intel Xeon 7500 processors, these systems are optimized for Oracle Enterprise Linux, Oracle VM Server for x86, and Oracle Solaris to provide the best performance and reliability. They are also certified to run Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Microsoft Windows, and VMware.

The Sun Fire x86 clustered systems product line delivers significant gains in operational efficiencies and provides unmatched scalability and performance.

Join our launch Webcast with Executive VP of Systems and Storage, John Fowler, and find out how you can benefit from the next generation of open, enterprise-class, x86 clustered systems.
