Dear valued AbsolPublisher Client
We are happy to inform you that we will be implementing substantial upgrades to our AbsolPublisher hosting infrastructure. Our new CMSone Hosting Environment has been custom built to meet and exceed the demands of your AbsolPublisher website for today and the future.
The new hosting environment is powered by the latest Microsoft Operating systems and Database software to make sure your website performs continually at itís peak. The hardware of the underlying system has been considerably upgraded as well, the new servers include high speed Intel dual-core processors, high speed hard drives and the latest Intel server board technology.
The server environment is also under continual scrutiny by both our skilled staff and automated monitoring software which is able to pick up any problems as soon as they happen. All this is offered as a free benefit at no additional cost to you.
We will however need to go through an upgrade and migration process so that your website can make use of the new platform. This unfortunately involves a small amount of downtime on Tuesday the 29th of November. During the migration period (between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM South African Time) administrators and content authors to your site will not be able to make modifications to your website. But users of your website will still be able to view the site during the majority of this period, except for the last 2 to 3 minutes of the upgrade when the servers will need to be re-booted. After the upgrade is complete you will re-gain full control of your website. Extensive planning and testing by our staff will ensure the absolute minimum of disruption to your on-line web service.
Please note: This upgrade and maintenance period applies only to Absol's South African hosted customers.
